Alrighty, so yesterday, we were talking about the Molten Sea.
That was the gargantuan pot of water containing close to 12,000 gallons of MAYIM CHAYYIM or “living water.”
So again, speaking to all gentile believers out there…
“Living water” ain’t water that has been ritually “blessed.”
Ya feel me?
It’s water emanating from a moving source like rivers or artesian springs.
And the Molten Sea wasn’t used for bathing.
It was for the priests, and they only washed their hands and feet in it for the purposes of ritual sanctification.
Anyone who possesses even a basic understanding of Torah gets this.
By washing their bodily extremities, the priests were showing their total devotion to the Lord.
They were also demonstrating their commitment to the atoning sacrifices they were about to perform on behalf of the people of Israel.
These rituals actually gave birth to the custom of NETILAT YADAYIM or נטילת ידיים.
This literally means “lifting” or “washing of the hands.”
It’s a hand-washing tradition that you perform before you pray or eat.
After washing your hands, you are to say this prayer:
“Blessed are You, LORD our God, King of the universe, who has sanctified us with His commandments and commanded us concerning the washing of the hands.”
Or in transliterated Hebrew:
Baruch Atah Adonai Eloheinu Melech ha’olam, asher kid’shanu b’mitzvotav v’tzivanu al netilat yadayim.
Onward.
Now, no discussion of the Molten Sea would be proper without noting that, according to Ezekiel’s vision of the temple…
There ain’t gonna be a Molten Sea in existence!
Yet the temple rituals will continue to be performed.
This clearly foreshadows what’ll take place after the heavens and the earth have passed away, following the end of the Messiah’s 1000-year reign.
Certain earthly symbols and rituals of temple worship will be replaced by spiritual symbols or heavenly things.
Take a look at the following verse from the Book of Ezekiel:
“Then he brought me back to the entrance of the house, and I saw water flowing eastward from under the threshold of the house, for the house faced east. The water flowed down from under the right side of the house, south of the altar.”- Ezekiel 47:1
So what do we notice here?
We notice that during the Millennium Kingdom, we have living water flowing from under the Temple.
And God Himself is its source?
How do we know that God Himself is the source of Living Water?
Well, notice the direction the water is flowing.
It says “eastward” because the house faced “east.”
In Scripture, the direction East is always associated with God.

Anyway, onward.
So during the Millennial Kingdom, living water will flow directly from beneath the Temple because its source will be God Himself.
Since this endless stream of mayim chayim will always be available for purification, it won’t be necessary to collect living water through pipes and store it in that great basin known as the Molten Sea.
Now, here’s what’s even more goose-bump-inducing.
The same thing happens on the new earth, after the Millennium wraps up.
We also notice that during this period, there’s no Temple at all.
Why?
Because God Himself IS the Temple.
Here’s the reference from Revelation:
“Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had passed away, and the sea was no longer there.” – Revelation 21:1
Notice the part where it says the “sea” was no longer there.
The “sea” ain’t referring to oceans as it’s commonly interpreted out in wacky gentile church land.
It’s referring to the Molten Sea, homies.
That’s right.
It’s talking about that great pot of water that was the center of the priestly rituals!
The very thing we’ve been discussing the past couple of days.
Are you feeling me, homies?
So what’s the takeaway here?
Simple.
The Millennial Kingdom marks the beginning of a major revolution.
A Messianic Revolution, I would say!
Little by little, the Lord is moving us closer to the spiritual truths His laws and rituals were always pointing to.
As a result, the physical objects used in those rituals became increasingly less important.
They were never the end goal in the first place, homies.
They were signs pointing to something much greater.
When the new earth arrives, the journey concludes, and the shadows are gone.
The reality they pointed to is finally here.
Done.
See ya all next time.
CONNECTING THIS TEACHING TO THE NEW TESTAMENT
“So don’t let anyone pass judgment
on you in connection
with eating and drinking,
or in regard to a Jewish festival
or Rosh-Hodesh or Shabbat.
These are a shadow of things
that are coming,
but the body is of the Messiah.”
– Colossians 2:16-17
“Now this is how the copies of
the heavenly things had to be purified,
but the heavenly things themselves
require better sacrifices than these.
For the Messiah has entered a Holiest Place
which is not man-made and
merely a copy of the true one,
but into heaven itself,
in order to appear now on
our behalf in the very presence of God.”
– Hebrews 9:23-24
“I saw no Temple in the city,
for Adonai, God of heaven’s armies,
is its Temple, as is the Lamb.”
-Revelation 21:22
