We’ve been talking about how both Azah and his son Hezekiah kowtowed to Tiglath-Pileser, the King of Assyria.
But here’s the thing.
This same story is happening RIGHT NOW in Europe.
The whole freakin’ continent is dropping what’s left of its Judeo-Christian roots.
Why?
To keep the peace with Islam as it pushes its agenda harder and harder.
Instead of resisting, many leaders think giving in to a growing and more aggressive Islam is the best way to keep peace and stay in power.
But that tolerance comes with a huge price.
Europe’s long-held morals and traditions slowly disappear.
Tragically, America is just a few steps behind Europe.
A lot of Americans can already feel it.
That’s one reason movements like the Tea Party took off.
It’s also why many Evangelicals, who stayed quiet for years, are speaking up again.
Even churches are splitting apart.
One side wants to embrace this new version of tolerance.
The other wants to stand on what the Bible has always taught.
Why is this so freakin’ important?
Because this is exactly the world Ahaz and Hezekiah lived in.
King Ahaz thought compromise would keep his nation safe.
Instead, it brought disaster.
Today, many political leaders, pastors, and even synagogue leaders are making the same mistake.
They think compromise will save them.
It won’t.
If this path continues, it’s gonna tear down the Judeo-Christian foundation that has supported Western civilization for over a thousand years.
Even worse, the lawless gentile church is encouraging believers in Messiah Yeshua to accept things God clearly labels sinful.
You know what I’m talking about.
I’m talking about churches that perform homosexual marriages in the name of their Jesus.
They promise peace, love, and tolerance.
But that road doesn’t end in peace.
It ends in destruction and God’s judgment.
King Solomon was right.
“There is nothing new under the sun.”
If Scripture is correct, history will continue to repeat itself.
The takeaway here is crystal clear.
God didn’t preserve Israel’s story just so we could learn ancient history.
He preserved it so we could see ourselves.
Their story is our warning.
If we keep making the same choices they made…
We’re gonna end up where they ended up.
Ya feel me?
Done.
