Yesterday I talked about how a good portion of the gentile church promotes the notion that the act of putting a murderer to death is murder itself.
I also pointed out that the church could only come to such a ridiculous conclusion by blatantly ignoring God’s Word, namely, the very foundation of God’s Word which is the Torah.
Here’s the thing I want you to understand.
If you’re going to come to the conclusion that Jesus did away with the Law or that the Torah is now irrelevant, then so are the “10 Commandments“.
Why?
Because the “10 Commandments” are simply the first ten instructions of all the laws of Torah.
I’m not going to mince my words here.
It is big-time hypocritical to declare that the “Old Testament” has been done away while at the same time having the “10 Commandments” prominently hung up and displayed inside a church for all to see,
The “10 Commandments” are simply a part of the Law in Exodus.
No wonder Christianity has so many countless denominations and is so confused on such matters as whether it’s right to execute someone who commits murder or not.
Again, Yeshua went out of his way to make it very, very clear for us that in no way did he ever abolish the Law.
“For verily I say unto you,
Till heaven and earth pass,
one jot or one tittle
shall in no wise pass from the law,
till all be fulfilled.”
-Matthew 5:18
Not only did Yeshua tell us that the Law still stands, but he also told us what to expect if God’s Law was to ever pass away.
He said, if there is ever a time when God abolishes the Torah, its Laws, and the Prophets, it ain’t gonna happen until after “heaven and earth passes away“.
Has heaven and earth passed away yet?
Hold on a second while I take a look outside the window of the Starbucks where I’m blogging at the moment.
Okay, I’m back.
Yup, I just checked and I can assure you that the heavens and the earth have not yet passed away.
So God’s Torah still stands.
Here’s another major point you should seriously consider.
Do you know specifically what part of the New Testament you’ll find those words of Yeshua when he said he did not come to abolish the Law?
Take a guess.
Those words are sandwiched dead center right in the middle of his famous Sermon on the Mount.
Ponder the significance of that fact for a second.
The Sermon of the Mount is considered to be the most important message ever given to the Church.
And right dab smack in the middle of that message, are the very words admonishing us and warning us that the one thing Yeshua did NOT do, was do away with the Law.
I’m telling you right now it’s a dangerous thing to tamper with the Word of God.
If you throw away the Torah, you’ve effectively thrown away the blueprint that outlines God’s justice system.
No wonder the church is in such chaos.
They have opted out for their own image of God (even making the Messiah into God Himself) and instead created a god to suit their own subjective whims and desires.
They have been so deceived.
Fortunately, a revolution is taking place all around the world.
In fact, I am in contact right now with a Messianic Leader (when I say Messianic Leader, I mean one who accepts Yeshua as the Messiah, not your typical trinitarian believing folk) who also happens to be an Orthodox Jew.
He has his own organization and one of the fundamental tenets of their faith statement is as follows:
“We likewise renounce Roman idolatry
foisted on the nations
in the form of the trinity,
which says a created being
(Hitgallut / Revelation 3:14, Colossians 1:15),
who himself says he has a G-d
(Yokhannan 17:3, 20:17, Hitgallut 3:12),
for example, together with a spirit
that does not speak on his own authority,
are the Most High G-d (Mattityahu 27:46, Yokhannan
/ John 16:13, 17:3, 20:17, Hitgallut
/ Revelation 3:12, et al.)”
Fair warning.
If you’re going to throw away parts of the Bible and twist Scripture, you do so at your own peril.
