“And the Lord spake unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. And Moses recorded them according to the word of YHWH, as he was commanded.”-Numbers 3:14-15
In my last post I wrote about how the census in Numbers 3 was not done by humans but by God Himself.
Well, I forgot to mention there is also another census of tremendous implications for ALL OF MANKIND and not just the Levites that will only be conducted by God Himself.
I’m talking about the ultimate census at the end of time that will eternally SEPARATE the believers from the unbelievers!
Do you think YHWH is going to leave that job up to the preachers, teachers, pastors and rabbis who officiate over their respective leadership organizations?
HELL NO!!!
The Bible makes it clear that God Himself will do the counting for the final census at the end of time to determine who gets in His Kingdom or not.
Why is this so?
Because it is only YHWH who can see into the heart of man.
We men can only make fleshly surface judgements.
But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”-1 Samuel 16:7
None of the worldly ordination certificates, ordinations, PHD qualifications or the fact that your name is written in the membership rolls of your local church or synagogue are going to mean absolutely NOTHING when God performs his final census.
Nor is it going to matter how much fervent religious activity you engaged in, whether you volunteered 1000 hours a week at a soup camp or homeless shelter or whether you donated thousands upon thousands of dollars to your local house of worship.
The final decision of who is redeemed and who is not is NOT going to be left in the hands of the pope or some pastor or some religious committee that over the years arrogantly decided which brand of believers were heretics and which were not.
The consequences are too important and eternal.
No true believer will be overlooked or left behind.
All of the lofty honors, leadership positions and religious titles that men just looooooove to bestow upon each other won’t mean diddly-squat.
No believer who honestly in his or her heart has accepted Yeshua, the savior YHWH has sent to mankind, will be overlooked.
On the other hand, no unbeliever will be able to sneak in or edge his or her way into the kingdom of God no matter how Godly his or her lifestyle may have been.
This is a faith and heart matter.
And it is only YHWH who can peer deep down into the heart and soul of man!
Just as it is was with the census we are studying here in Numbers 3, it will be YHWH and YHWH alone Who will do the counting for the final census.
