“When they lie down they crouch like a lion,
or like a lioness — who dares to rouse it?
Blessed be all who bless you!
Cursed be all who curse you!”
-Numbers 24:9
On top of the third mountain peak, Balaam continues to proclaim words of blessing concerning Israel!
He declares how pleased the Lord is with His Chosen People and how powerful God will make them.
Balaam adds that they will continue to greatly increase in numbers and that God’s protection over them shall NEVER depart.
And note in verse 9, we have the often repeated but also often misunderstood refrain we first encountered in the Book of Genesis when God first approached Abraham.
Blessed be all who bless you!
Cursed be all who curse you!”
There is no doubt that this is a WARNING being directed to all the gentile nations.
Some may argue that since at this point in time Israel had not yet been created, these words only applied to Abraham’s immediate family.
Um, no.
These words are clearly being applied directly to the whole nation of Israel.
As I’ve said before, prophecy in Scripture has a repeating nature to it.
It applies to the present, the near future AND the far unseen future which could be even centuries later.
Keep the verse Numbers 24:9 in your back pocket for the time anybody tries to dispute this with you.
Clearly, Israel is the PROTECTED one and the gentile nation are the ones who are on the receiving end of this warning.
Well, at this point, King Balak has had it with Balaam.
He fires him on the spot without payment because he failed to do what he was hired to do, which was curse Israel.
Understand that being unable to get Israel cursed really hurt Balak.
He now finds himself in a situation where he will have to battle against the Hebrews minus them being weakened by being cursed.
However, things get even worse for King Balak.
Balaam goes on to not just bless Israel but goes on to curse King Balak and those who would side with him against Israel.
Again, keep in mind that everything Balaam is saying in this third oracle are Balaam’s own words that were said under inspiration from the spirit of God.
The next time we meet, we shall begin to examine in detail Balaam’s words concerning the rather unpleasant fate awaiting the people of Moab and the other gentiles in the Trans-Jordan area in the Land of Canaan.

“Brother are we reading the same bible, lol”? If what you typed above is true for the people who call themselves Jews today, we might as well throw the bible out. So what you are saying is the convenient made with Moses’s and the true Hebrews was an unconditional covenant. Allowing these people to do what ever they want and still be blessed, lol!
Because this is the only way of what you are saying can be true, but yet that means you completely over looked “exodus 19:3-5, Leviticus 26:14-17 , Deuteronomy 4:1-2,
Deuteronomy 8:18-20, just to mentioned a few verses that states!!!!! IF, IF, IF!!!!! The word most Christians completely read over!!! “BUT IF ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
THIS WORD “IF” IS INVOLVED in every single promise YHWah offered anyone in the bible. If you are obedient to my ways all of my ways, then I will do this for you!!!! No where in the bible has YHWah continued to bless anyone that was not obedient to his commands.
Exodus 19:3-5 King James Version (KJV)
3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.
5 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Leviticus 26:14-17 King James Version (KJV)
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
15 And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant:
16 I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you
Deuteronomy 4:1-2 King James Version (KJV)
4 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Deuteronomy 8:18-20
18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.
Now lets look at these people you call blessed. 80% of Jewish people today are atheist, they dont believe in the Son or the father. This number was similar before and after WW2, this history is very easy to find
1 John 2:22-23 King James Version (KJV)
22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Looking out John 2:22-23, you must of completely over looked these verses, so your telling me the God of the bible took a bunch of Antichrist
back to the promise land 1948, or that the Father is blessing a group of Antichrist! Today!
Brother the church has lied to you and me, it doesn’t matter if they only believe in the father, (Which is not true) without the belief in His Son Its impossible to have the Father. Tel Aviv has the largest gay pride parade each year, but yet your telling me YHWah are blessing these people, come on brother!!!
DA says
I also wanted to add, if this covernet made by the true Hebrews and YHWah was unconditional, (meaning these people can do what ever they want and still be blessed, which is a lie) Then what was the point of the (Babylon, Meds and Persians, Greeks and Romans control and Captivities)!
These things occured because of the True Hebrews of the bible, disobedence of YHWAH commandments and Law, the bible is very clear about this! So what does this mean, the promises made to the True Hebrews of the bible has always been promises made out of condition of their faith and obedience to YHWAH
richoka says
There’s a huge DIFFERENCE between God temporarily disciplining His People and forever cursing them. The latter shall NEVER happen.
DA says
You must of never read Deuteronomy 28, the curses. YHWah was very clear when making the convernet with the true Hebrews. How can you over look verses like Due 28:15 where it states these cures will overtake thee if you don’t follow all his commandments. 45 states these same curses will over take you and be on your generations forever! And these curses will be a sign of who the true Hebrews are.
Have you read the old testimant and counted the number of times YHWAH forgave the Hebrews, these curses continued to build on top of each other until the Hebrews were over taken by the curses.
Due 28:15,29,45,46
15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
45 Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
And I will repeat again, Due. 30:1-5 states, only if the entire house of Israel turn back to YHWAH, including all the kids, with all their heart and soul, then He can turn back to them. It doesn’t matter where theye were scattered, they must all turn back. The converts over their today have no idea what tribe their from because they are from neither tribe Unless you can prove useing scripture Im wrong. And please don’t try to use the feel in the blank scriptures like “can a country be born in a day ” make sure you read the entire chapter because it talks about a peace Isreal has never seen, even in King Solomon day, this peace will only occur in the. Thousand-Year millennium!

God willing, I’ll be in the Book of Deuteronomy soon.
