In my last post, we learned that Israel’s religious headquarters had been moved from Gilgal to Shiloh.
Let’s talk a little bit about Shiloh for a minute here.
First off, Shiloh is breathtakingly beautiful.
It is hilly territory that is quite rocky making it difficult to traverse by foot.
Here’s something else quite interesting.
Do you wanna know where Shiloh is located today?
It’s located in the area we call the “West Bank”.
This is one of the areas Israel took control over during the Six-Day War of 1967 and has maintained control of it ever since.
Biblically speaking, it’s located in “Samaria” as in the-Samaritan-woman-at-the-well Samaria.
What’s even more awesome is that the very spot where the Tabernacle Tent was set up can be seen to this day.
How do we know that?
Because even the holes drilled into the large stones where the tall wooden posts were erected…
…that would hold up the large curtain which circled the Tabernacle courtyard are visible.
I don’t know about you but just the mere thought that this was the very area where the Ark of the Covenant once sat gives me big time goose bumps.
