Let’s have a quick review from a spiritual perspective to get our bearings of where we’re at in consideration of many of the things we discussed thus far.
There are seven important points we need to firmly embed in the deepest recesses of our craniums.
POINT 1:
Satan is currently the prince ruling over this world and God has given him the legal rights to do so. Recall the words of the Apostle Paul.
“Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Messiah, who is the exact likeness of God.“-2 Corinthians 4:4
POINT 2:
In God’s own good timing, the day will come when our Father in heaven will replace Satan’s current legal rulership with His son Yeshua.
POINT 3:
While the Lord has determined that it was okay for gentiles to legally live in the land of Canaan, He has deemed that they no longer have that right and that the land must and will be given over to his chosen people Israel.
POINT 4:
A believer today may have received a sort of spiritual rest through his or her faith in Yeshua, but they have not yet received a full physical or fleshly rest. Much of the world remains unconquered and in a state of rebellion to the Creator. It is up to us to take the Gospel message to an unbelieving world.
POINT 5:
Connected to the last point, as believers in the God of Israel, it is our responsibility (whether Jew or Gentile) to stand against the evil and anti-Semitism in the world. We are called to take a vocal stand against and if necessary be willing to put ourselves in harm’s way in order to defend Israel.
POINT 6:
This is a big one that I think the institutionalized church needs to take to heart. COMPROMISE IS NOT AN OPTION. We see too many times that Joshua and his men tried to make peace with the enemy when they were supposed to drive them out of the land. Their thinking was “let these Canaanites go on with their heathen ways as long as they don’t bother us so much”. This only served to weaken Israel and ruined their relationship with God.
POINT 7:
The only reason we have a Middle Eastern crisis today is because Joshua didn’t fully drive the Canaanites out of the land like he was supposed to.
