Alrighty, I know some of you were shocked at what I wrote yesterday about Satan being the dark prince who ruled over the land of Canaan in Joshua’s time just as he rules over our world today.
In line with what I said, let’s not harbor any misunderstandings and think that the many different native tribes and people groups who lived in Canaan in Joshua’s day were there illegally.
They weren’t like illegal immigrants who deserved to be kicked out of the land.
They had every right to live there UNTIL GOD IN HIS SOVEREIGNTY DECIDED IT WAS TIME FOR THEM HOMIES TO GO.
I know what I just said can tick a lot of people off but it’s true and nothing could be more Biblical.
The Lord has every darn right to destroy the Canaanites because He is the lawful Judge and has deemed they were wicked in his sight.
Along the same lines, the Lord also has every right to destroy Satan because he too is evil and deserving of his destruction due to his rebellion and sin.
Listen, scripturally speaking, here’s how we’re to view Canaan.
Canaan represents a type and shadow of the Adversary…the very same Adversary who tempted Eve to sin in the garden.
And make no bones about it, the battle to take the land of Canaan is a type and shadow of the Battle of Armageddon that may just be on its way to starting given the current heat taking place in the Holy Land right now (May 14th, Friday, 2021).
But, here’s what’s really interesting about the battle for the Promised Land we’re studying in the Book of Joshua.
Ultimately, we’re gonna find out it was a mission that only partly succeeded because the Israelites were disobedient and their commander-in-chief was imperfect.
Let me say that again.
Joshua’s God-given mission to completely subjugate the Promised Land was NOT fully successful because of the disobedience of the people (Achan being a perfect case in point) and the imperfections of the leader.
Hence, the opposite must be true.
When the people are obedient and the Commander-of-Chief is perfect, then perfect success will result.
And thus we await Armageddon when Yeshua and his holy saints will return to take back the land of Canaan.
And I mean ALL of land, not just the little piece of real estate we call the Holy Land today.
But wait a minute.
On that thought, when Yeshua returns, he’s coming back to take the whole world.
