It is mighty inspiring to see that all the 12 Tribes of Israel are united at this time in their history.
In spite of differing circumstances and in spite of even some of the tribes opting to live outside of the Promised Land, at this point in Scripture, Israel is ONE just as their God is ONE.
We are also shown a model of how Godly leadership is to operate now and in the future.
What exactly do I mean by that?
I’m talking about a situation whereby all of the tribal chiefs, clan leaders and common people are led by one supreme commander all who worship the one true God.
Practically speaking, we are seeing an organizational structure where one man commands several officers…
…who themselves command several other men…
…who in turn take the instructions they received to the common people in one spirit.
This is a beautiful model of how all believers are going to be united in the future under Messiah.
Things will also be the same in the sense that some believers will be living in the Holy Land and some won’t.
There will be believers from every cultural and societal tradition imaginable…
…each speaking their own unique languages and…
…each having their own unique identity shaped by hundreds of years of their national history.
Yet these differences in race, color, size, geography, political or economic systems won’t matter.
We will all be together in one spirit with a common goal to bring about the Hashem’s Kingdom here on earth.
It is our allegiance to the Messiah and the one true God that will be the bond keeping our common identity intact as a people separated from the world by the teachings of Moses received at Sinai.
Never forget it is the Torah that establishes God’s Will for all of His people.
This includes both the native-born and the grafted in foreigner (the mixed multitude) from the nations.
Oh and I forgot to mention…
…just as it was Y’hoshua who led a united Israel to take the Promised Land thousands of years ago, in the near future another one by the same name will also be leading his people to take both the Promised Land and the whole world.
Remember, in Hebrew “Joshua” and “Yeshua” are exactly the same name.
That’s right man.
The Book of Joshua might as well be called the “Book of Yeshua” …
…or the Book of “Yah’s Salvation” if we want to take things literally.
See you all next time.
NEXT TIME WE BEGIN JOSHUA CHAPTER TWO
