“Do not follow the crowd when it does what is wrong; and don’t allow the popular view to sway you into offering testimony for any cause if the effect will be to pervert justice.”-Exodus 23:2
When studying these many teachings of God, one thing is becoming increasingly and uncomfortably apparent to me.
These many “laws” are actually ensuring something that the church in our day and age not only looks down on but is doing its darn most to get rid of.
I’m talking about the principle of Division & Separation.
What God has very purposefully set out to accomplish via His Teachings and Laws, the lawless gentile church seems to be doing everything in its power to defeat.
I’m going to make a statement that is going to sound like a bunch of double talk, but is absolutely true.
GOD CREATES UNITY BY DIVISION!
The principles He set ups through His Word are by their very nature lines of division.
We have the free choice to stand on one side or the other.
If we stand on the side of God’s principles, we will be at peace with God but in conflict with man.
If we stand on the other side, we will be at peace with man, but in conflict with God.
As hard as we may try to straddle the fence between these two sides, it is impossible to do.
And the reason why?
Because God establishes peace and unity via division.
And how is division realized?
By strict adherence to God’s Teachings and Laws!
There is no other way!
There is a very good reason why for most of its history Israel has always been at odds with the rest of the world.
It is because they have been ferociously dedicated to obeying the Teachings & Laws of HASHEM at all costs.
Currently, Israel, in order to appease the world, is now attempting to straddle the fence between God’s side and man’s side by attempting to negotiate a so-called 2-state solution.
It’s not gonna happen and it’s not gonna work.
And the reason why is because this plan is diametrically opposed to God’s foundational principle of DIVISION & SEPARATION as set down in His Word.
And the reason why the modern church has steadily lost its power is because it has adopted a theology of lawlessness and is now attempting to harmonize the Biblical faith with every other belief system under the sun.
Under the banner of peace and harmony, they are attempting to completely eradicate the lines of demarcation that God has so clearly set down in His Word.
It all started during the 18th century European Enlightenment.
From that time onwards, the church has done everything it can to cease being a pariah and make itself as attractive to the world as possible while attempting to maintain a superficial aura of religiousness.
Our current era of Mega-church madness is simply the culmination of two things:
Enlightenment philosophies and man’s fleshly desire to win approval from the world.
Compromise, consensus, and tolerance has replaced our obligation to discern between good and evil via a strong adherence to God’s Teachings and His Law.
When Yeshua said “Take up your cross and follow me”, He was making it very clear that if we attempt to walk a holy life in accordance with the Lord’s commandments, we would face stubborn resistance and persecution.
CONNECTING THIS TEACHING TO THE NEW TESTAMENT
“Woe to you,
when all people speak well of you,
for so their fathers did to the false prophets.”
-Luke 6:26
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord!’
will enter the Kingdom of Heaven,
only those who do what my Father in heaven wants.
On that Day,
many will say to me,
‘Lord, Lord!
Didn’t we prophesy in your name?
Didn’t we expel demons in your name?
Didn’t we perform many miracles in your name?’
Then I will tell them to their faces,
‘I never knew you!
Get away from me,
you workers of lawlessness!
-Matthew 7:21-23
“Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith?
Not at all!
Rather, we uphold the law.“
-Romans 3:31
