Let’s talk a little bit more about Nimrod.
Nimrod married a woman named Semiramis.
Then after he passed away, Semiramis declared him to be the sun god.
However, Semiramis didn’t just deify her husband.
She also deified herself.
She declared herself the “Queen of Heaven” and was worshipped as such.
She was also the mother of Tammuz who was considered to be the reincarnation of Nimrod.
Step back for a second and understand what I’m telling you here.
I’ve just presented to you the first trinity in the history of mankind.
We’ve got the FATHER Nimrod who was worshipped as the sun-God.
We’ve got the MOTHER Semiramis who was worshipped as the “Queen of Heaven”.
And we’ve got the SON Tammuz who was worshipped as the reincarnation of Nimrod.
This standard trinity formula would serve as the basis for all the Babylonian Mystery religions and practically every pagan religion in the world including Roman Christianity.
What’s also incredibly fascinating is that we can find in every culture throughout history different versions of the names Nimrod and Semiramis.
For example, Semiramis, the Queen of Heaven was…
…in Egypt called ISIS.
In India she was called INDRANI.
In Asia she was called CYBELE.
And in the ancient Middle East she was called ASHTEROTH (which appears many times in the Tanakh).
Now Nimrod, and this may surprise you, was also known as BA’AL.
That’s right.
He went by the name of that famous pagan god who the Bible prophets constantly warned Israel about.
And he was also known as the god-man NINUS.
Ninus was the builder of Ninevah, the city the Lord told Jonah to go to to warn them that they were going to be destroyed because of their wickedness.
Finally, we come to the son Tammuz.
Since he was considered to be a reincarnation of Nimrod, he also went by his father’s name Nimrod.
CONNECTING THIS TEACHING TO THE NEW TESTAMENT
“You worship what you do not know;
we worship what we do know,
for salvation is from the Jews.”
-John 4:22
