Welcome to Day 7 of our Torah overview.
We finished off yesterday discussing how right after the flood the whole world went right back to its anti-Godly ways and became steeped in idolatry, sexual immorality and child sacrifice.
The one event that epitomized this rebellion of mankind towards God was the Tower of Babel project.
This was when the people of the world decided to get together and build a tower that would reach up to the heavens.
Well, the Lord put a quick stop to that by scrambling what was just one human language into many new spoken and written languages that eventually developed into tongues with extensive vocabularies and alphabets.
The one evil figure who spearheaded this widespread revolt against the Lord was a man named Nimrod.
This is the man who is rightly credited with founding the many “Mystery Babylon” religions in existence today.
Nimrod was the person who led the construction of the first walled city after the great flood and gave birth to a more modern form of warfare that hadn’t existed up until this time.
Another interesting fact about Nimrod is that he descended from the line of Ham (one of the three sons of Noach).
The descendants of Ham were those folks who fell into wickedness within just a few years after the flood.
We also know that Nimrod’s father was Cush.
And who was Cush?
Cush’s descendants were those who populated Africa.
This might come as a surprise to you but the great Nimrod was actually a negro.
That’s right.
He was a black man.
And when we examine the many ancient carvings of Nimrod still in existence today, we can see this is true.
lilian says
All blacks are from cush and descendants of Noah however their grandparent was white and again you mentioned the Babylonian revolt began from cush does that point out to Africans being founding gentiles globally and i history ? from my observation presently Africans have embraced yahwe more maybe because of their vulnerability economically or other. Does this apply to day? help me understand
richoka says
Interesting point Lilian. However, why are you making the assumption that “their grandparent was white”?
Lilian says
oh I thought Abraham was white yes it’s an assumption
