Over the past couple of days we’ve been deep diving into quite a controversial topic concerning Israel’s takeover of the Land of Canaan.
Let’s review a couple of the main points.
First, just as it was for the the Israelites 3300 years ago, there is nothing inherently “righteous” about today’s Jews that they deserve to be in the land.
And there is nothing inherently “unrighteous” about today’s Arabs that they don’t belong in the land.
Israel was chosen as God’s special servants and ordered to take over this special piece of real estate in the Middle East to fulfill the Lord’s Holy purposes.
They are a tool in God’s Hand to punish the wicked GOYIM (gentile nations) who surround them and would dare to uproot them from their promised land..
And the opposite is also true.
Historically speaking, we know that God has used the gentile nations to punish His people and to get them to turn to repentance.
This has already happened three times with the last time being about 2000 years ago when the Romans occupied Jerusalem and then destroyed the Temple in 70 A.D.
Yeshua prophesied this would happen:
“Yeshua left the temple and was walking away
when his disciples came up to him to call his
attention to its buildings.
“Do you see all these things?” he asked.
“Truly I tell you, not one stone here will
be left on another; every one will be
thrown down.”
-Matthew 24:1-2
We’re told after the third time of being expelled from the land, the Israelis will return and never be driven out again.
However, the persecution will not end.
The Jews will unfortunately be hated and attacked not just by their immediate neighbors but also by every nation on earth who will turn against them.
Things will get so bad, it will appear as if Israel is going to be completely wiped out and once again driven out of the land.
Yet, just when they’re on the verge of complete decimation, the Messiah will return to Israel’s rescue and lead a war to end all wars against the wicked nations who dared to come against God’s elect.
This war to end all wars is of course called “Armageddon“.
Second, concerning their special election by God and their right to the Land of Canaan, Israel stands on only one thing.
That one thing is the Lord’s sovereignty, period.
Israel never earned nor deserved the right to the land.
But they were never required to earn or deserve it.
All they were required to do is be obedient to God’s Holy Torah.
As the Creator of the universe, God has every right to decide who inhabits where on this planet.
The opinions of worldly governments and men mean nothing.
For His own good purposes the Lord has issued a sovereign decree that only His Chosen People have the right to live in the Land of Canaan.
For the Arabs or any other non-Hebrew to occupy even one square inch of what God has set apart for His People is WRONG.
God is continuing the process He began so long ago with Moses, Joshua and the ancient Israelites.
He is still in the process of replacing the WRONG people with the RIGHT people.
