If I was to ask you the question “what is the glue that binds the Word of God together?”, how would you answer?
If you were to say Yeshua, you would be wrong.
The answer is…
…from the Book of Genesis all the way up to Revelations, the glue that binds the Lord’s justice system is His Justice system.
Yeshua’s sacrifice was just one out of many steps that form the process of God’s plan to save mankind and this is a process that is still yet to be completed.
What Yeshua accomplished on the cross satisfied just one aspect of the Lord’s justice system for a specific purpose.
Go back and read that last sentence and note that I said Yeshua “satisfied” the Lord’s justice system.
I didn’t say he abolished it.
The words “satisfy” and “abolish” mean two totally different things.
If we convict a proven murderer and he is given the death penalty and then hung because of his crime, we say that our justice system has been satisfied.
Obviously the convicted murderer being put to death because of his crime didn’t do away with our justice system now, did it?
When we say our justice system has been satisfied, we mean the purpose or goal via the justice process did what it was supposed to do.
It produced its intended result.
Why do I keep harping on this point?
Because of the mainstream and false doctrine promoted by the gentile churches that say the Lord’s justice system was done away with and replaced by some maple syrupy universal love and forgiveness BS due to Yeshua’s sacrifice on the cross.
This doctrine concludes that no matter what a believer does, he or she will never suffer the Lord’s discipline because God no longer doles out justice, He only showers us with love and mercy.
I’ve already pointed out the fallacy of that kind of thinking by directing you to chapter 15 of the Book of Revelations in an earlier article.
In that chapter, we were given a clear picture of the Lord pouring out His wrath on the world in the last days of the Great Tribulation.
We also found that those loyal to Hashem were singing this very Song of Moses as their final victory song.
A song I should add that pays token to the Lord’s perfect justice or MISHPAT in Hebrew.
Folks, we’ve got to understand that the Lord’s justice system didn’t end once we finished the last page of the Book of Ezra and then began reading the first page of the Book Matthew.
Hashem’s justice system did NOT end at Calvary.
In fact, the BRIT HADASHAH (the New Testament) tells us that all men (including believers) will stand before the judgement throne of God.
Check out these verses from 1st Peter.
“If you are insulted because of the name of Messiah, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. However, if you suffer as a believer in Messiah, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”-1 Peter 4:14-18
The takeaway here is pretty clear.
Even the household of God will be judged.
However, the more important question we should be asking ourselves is on what basis will we be judged?
What’s the standard we will have to answer to when we stand before the Creator?
I’ll tell you this homies.
The standard ain’t gonna be based on whether or not we accepted Yeshua as our personal savior because these verses from 1 Peter are already talking about believers.
Instead, the believer is going to be judged by Hashem’s long-established justice system.
In other words, we’ll be judged by the very laws and commands of this Torah established at Sinai that we’ve spent the last five years studying.
Of course, the consequences of the judgement will be completely different for a non-believer.
As far as I can tell, the non-believer will suffer eternal destruction.
However, this is something the believer doesn’t have to worry about.
However, at the judgement day, his or her life will be completely laid out before him or her.
All of your deeds or lack thereof will be exposed.
Those who lived a righteous life and bore much fruit will be given many rewards and those who didn’t will be given less.
Remember Yeshua said…
“Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”-Matthew 5:19
I’m done.
