In our discussion of Deuteronomy Chapter 32 so far, we’ve delved into some absolutely fascinating topics.
We’ve discussed how the gentile nations of the world are ruled by other divine beings (under Hashem’s control of course).
We’ve also discussed how the Lord uses the evil nature of the gentile nations to punish Israel who He will then in turn judge for the wickedness they brought upon His Chosen People…
…which brings me to another fascinating topic.
I’m talking about all of the chaos occurring in the Middle East.
A situation no one seems to understand simply because your average person is so ignorant of what Scripture really says on the matter.
The first thing I feel compelled to remind you is that God is in perfect control of the situation.
As chaotic as everything seems to be, everything is step-by-step and inch-by-inch working itself out…
…not only according to the Lord’s predetermined plan of salvation…
…but also according to what He has already pre-announced.
Honestly, the crisis in the Middle East reminds me of the obesity crisis we’re facing in the United States today.
It seems like every other day there’s another weight loss guru, fitness Youtube star, bodybuilder or doctor promoting some new diet, super food or program that’s guaranteed to work better than anything that’s ever been unleashed upon the public before.
Yet in spite of all these “new” programs and ideas your average American just keeps getting fatter and fatter and the type 2 diabetes epidemic just keeps getting more and more out of control.
Well, it’s the exact same thing with the Middle Eastern crisis.
Whenever you turn on the TV to watch the news, there’s a good chance you’ll come across another politician, statesman or commentator explaining why the Middle East is in such a big mess and then he or she will go on to explain why his or her plans to bring peace will succeed where everything else has failed.
Even the church has jumped on this bandwagon as they try to do their part in bringing peace between Israel and the Palestinians, the Syrians, the Egyptians, the Jordanians, the Lebanese, the Saudis and on and on ad infinitum ad nauseam.
The unfortunate prevailing belief is that since it is always Israel who is in conflict with one country or another, the world believes it MUST be the Jewish people who are the problem and the ones causing all of the trouble in the world.
Now here’s the big kicker.
In a way, they’re right.
The Jewish people are the “problem” but it is a divine problem deliberately caused by the Creator because He has chosen the Jews and placed them in a location where the gentile nations don’t want them: the ancient and promised homeland of Israel.
Why do you think every sort of plan and proposal designed to bring peace to the region has failed miserably?
Recall the so-called DOA Roadmap to Peace (Mapa had’rakhim in Hebrew) created by the Bush Administration.
That initiative went absolutely nowhere.
The administration after that tried to solve things by attempting to befriend all of the Islamic enemies surrounding Israel.
That also came to absolutely nothing.
And how about the situation today?
It’s still a huge disaster.
Every solution thus far has failed.
The UN has tried to get Israel to give away its land (which is a big no-no in God’s eyes).
That plan failed.
Millions of dollars in aid have been donated to the region to bring peace.
That also has turned out to be a huge waste of money.
Armies have tried to impose their wills militarily on the region.
This also has been a miserable failure and only seems to have made things worse.
And every time a leader even from within the Muslim population tries to convince the people that peace is a better choice, the inevitable result always seems to be more terrorist incidents and more suicide bombers.
The situation over there doesn’t make any sense at all unless you go back to the one source that explains everything.
Of course, I’m talking about God’s Word.
Minus understanding (and believing) the Lord’s Word, no one will ever have the proper context for understanding what’s going on in the Middle East.
That’s right folks.
Outside of believing what Scripture says concerning the fact that God has assigned mysterious divine beings (called BENEI ELOHIM) over the gentile nations but has only set Israel apart for Himself, you ain’t ever gonna understand what’s happening in the Middle East.
Got it homies?
When you fight against Israel, you’re fighting against God.
You wanna play that game?
Good luck.
Hundreds of literally billions of dollars have been thrown at the problem.
Millions of lives have been lost because of this conflict.
The wisest and most intelligent people on the planet have attempted to come up with a feasible solution to the problem.
Yet no one seems to be consulting God’s Word for a solution.
God is the one who created the nations and He’s the one who assigned divine beings to rule over them.
Don’t you think we should consult Him?
From the beginning of time, the Lord has continuously warned mankind that it is dangerous to not consult Him on things He alone controls.
This seems to be a warning that mankind (including Israel) has continually ignored.
This is also a warning clearly spelled out in the Song of Moses.
