Today we’re going to continue to show how Joseph foreshadows the life of Yeshua.
My studies uncovered ten patterns as follows:
PATTERN ONE:
Joseph was clothed in the right garments and brought to Pharaoh.
In like manner, Yeshua clothes us in His righteousness when we’re brought to him.
PATTERN TWO:
-Joseph points to God as the only one who can interpret dreams.
-In like manner, Yeshua always gave credit to His Father in heaven for His great works.
PATTERN THREE:
-Joseph prophetically reveals a seven year famine.
-Yeshua is prophetically revealed in the 7-year tribulation.
PATTERN FOUR:
-Joseph was referred to as one in whom the Spirit of God dwells.
-Yeshua was also considered to be the one in whom the Father dwells in all fullness.
PATTERN FIVE:
-Joseph went from the dungeon to the throne.
-Yeshua went from the tomb to the throne.
PATTERN SIX:
-All the people of Egypt were told to bow their knee before Joseph.
-We’re told that when Yeshua returns every knee shall bow to Him.
PATTERN SEVEN:
-We’re told that nobody could do anything without Joseph’s permission
-Yeshua tells us that without Him we can do nothing.
PATTERN EIGHT:
-Joseph was given a new name when he was raised up.
-According to Philippians 2:9 and Revelation 3:12, Yeshua was given a new name at His ascension.
PATTERN NINE:
-Joseph was 30 years old when he began his work.
-Yeshua was also 30 years old when he began his public ministry.
PATTERN TEN:
-Joseph was the only source of the “bread of life” for the world physically.
-Yeshua is the only source of the “bread of life” for the world spiritually.
