I want you to notice something interesting about David becoming king.
It took a freakin’ looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time!
Of course, we see this same pattern with Messiah Yeshua.
Let me remind you of an important Hebrew term we learned earlier.
Do you remember the word NAGID or נָגִיד?
Most concordances say it just means a “leader,” “prince,” or “ruler.”
Those definitions aren’t necessarily wrong…
But they aren’t necessarily right either.
NAGID really means a “king in waiting.”
In other words, it refers to a person who God designated to be king way before that became a reality.
The Lord ordained David to be king of Israel long before it happened here on Earth.
Many things needed to happen, and a lot had to fall into place before David could take the throne.
The same is true for the Messiah.
Even though the prophets predicted Yeshua’s kingship over 2,500 years ago…
And although it began in a spiritual way 2,000 years ago…
The full manifestation of His reign is yet to come…
But come it will…
And I believe that time will be soon!
So what’s the takeaway for today?
The takeaway is patience homies!
Patience!
Even though it may seem like nothing is changing in your life…
Trust that the Lord is working all things out for the good for those who love and obey Him.
So I’ll stop on that positive note.
See ya all next time.

Some may think that you are referring to David waiting for Shaul to die, but he was anointed when he was only a boy! He didn’t rule, completely, until he was probably in his late 30’s or early 40’s!
And what about Moses? He didn’t come down from the burning bush looking like a well-conditioned, 40-something Charlton Heston! No!
Moses was 80 years old before he even started back to Egypt.
I just wrote a message about patience- did you see that one, Rich?
