“Go on from there, and you will come to the Oak of Tavor. Three men will meet you there on their way up to God at Beit-El. One of them will be carrying three kids, another three loaves of bread and the third a skin of wine.”-1 Samuel 10:3
Notice Samuel gave Saul 3 separate signs or predictions that he would be king.
The number 3 here is significant and points to a divine connection.
Why?
Because 3 represents holiness and completeness in the Scriptures.
Whenever something is mentioned three times, it is considered to emphasize its importance or significance.
Here are some examples demonstrating this:
The Triple Repetition: In the Hebrew Bible, when something is mentioned three times, it is driving home its importance or significance. For instance, in Isaiah 6:3, the angels cry “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty”.
Three Patriarchs: In the Scripture, we are introduced to three patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. These men would go on to form the Israelite nation, which would become God’s people.
Time Periods: There are instances where certain events lasted for three days, such as the plague of darkness in Egypt (Exodus 10:22) and Jonah’s time in the belly of the fish (Jonah 1:17).
Three Gifts: In Matthew 2, the three Magi bring three gifts to the baby Yeshua: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. These gifts signify his journey on earth: gold for earthly royalty, frankincense for divine authority and myrrh for death.
3 Temptations of Yeshua: In the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), Yeshua faced three temptations from Satan in the wilderness (Matthew 4:1-11, Mark 1:12-13, and Luke 4:1-13).
Resurrection of the Messiah: Yeshua rose from the dead on the third day after his crucifixion. This event is mentioned in several passages, such as Matthew 16:21, Mark 8:31, and Luke 24:46.
Peter’s Denial: Before the crucifixion, Yeshua predicted that Peter would deny him three times. This prophecy came true, and Peter denied Yeshua thrice, as mentioned in Matthew 26:69-75, Mark 14:66-72, and Luke 22:54-62.
Three Angels: There are three guardian angels mentioned in the Book of Revelation. The first angel commands that every person on earth should worship God. The second announces that Babylon has been destroyed. Finally, the third one warns that anybody who accepts the mark of the beast will face the Father’s wrath.
And there’s actually many more.
So what’s the takeaway for today?
Well, I’ve got three of them for you.
First, understand that numbers in the Bible carry great significance.
In other words, there is such a thing as Biblical numerology that has nothing to do with the occult or New Age.
Second, when searching the Scriptures for truth, always be on the lookout for triple repetitions…
Because that indicates something of especially divine importance is taking place.

Finally, if the Lord ever communicates something to you in threes, you should pay special attention to those signs.
I can’t say that’s ever personally happened to me yet…
But if God repeats something to me three times, based on the pattern established in Scripture, you can bet I’d perk up real quick and pay attention.

when you talk about the number 3 representing DEVINE wholeness and completeness and perfection, that is where almost all if not ALL , trinitarians believe the same DEVINE wholeness ,completion , and perfection.
that is GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON, AND GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT/ GHOST,
the HOLY GHOST /SPIRIT only being sent after JESUS ascended to the FATHER and sitting at the FATHERs right hand side.
that is where the TRINITARIANS get the 3 in one concept. each individual but each the same.

I understand trinitarians like to highjack the significance of the number 3 and apply it to their Father, Son and Holy Spirit theology…
However, it doesn’t really fit…
Because I’m talking about REPETITIONS of three here…
Sure, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, as separate entities indeed do add up to three, but there’s no repetition of 3 here.
And of course, I don’t accept the idea that these three are co-equal, co-eternal and of the same substance, you know the theology that your typical evangelical and lawless Christian churches teach…
I also don’t accept the idea of a “pre-incarnate Christ”…
You know, the idea that Yeshua was making guest appearances all over the place in the “Old” Testament before he officially came into the world as a baby through Miriam…
